This privacy policy explains how our Chrome extension "Cefalo Timeout Extension" collects, uses, and protects any information that you give when you use this extension.
On the attendance page, our extension does not store or persist anything — it only reads the content already on the page to insert calculated secure end times, a live countdown, and time-spent information.
On the Team Members page, the extension offers an opt-in member directory tracker. Nothing is recorded until
you explicitly click Track. If you use it, the extension stores — only in your own browser,
via the browser's built-in extension storage (chrome.storage.local), never the portal's own
storage — exactly what that page already displays for each member: name, username, designation, team, and an
avatar image URL. It never stores email addresses, phone numbers, or any field read from the portal's
authenticated API — only what's visibly rendered on the page. You can delete this history at any time: an
individual snapshot (other than the first) can be removed on its own, and Untrack permanently
deletes the entire history, both with a confirmation step first.
The information read from the attendance page is used solely to enhance that report by adding a "Secure End Time" column, a Today countdown panel, and time-spent information. The information stored by the member directory tracker (when you opt in) is used solely to show you, locally, who joined or left the Team Members page between the times you clicked Track/Snap — it is never used for any other purpose.
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. Our extension does not transmit any data to external servers, and all processing and storage is done locally on your device. Tracking history saved by the member directory tracker stays in the extension's own local storage — it is private to the extension, not shared with the Cefalo HR Portal's own website storage, and is removed if you uninstall the extension or use Untrack. We have put in place suitable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we access online.
Our extension does not use cookies to store any information.
Our extension does not share or sell any user data to third-party services. All data processing is handled locally on the user's device.
